Select players are required to play with BOTH their House League Team & their Select Team.

Select Players must be registered and play regularly (minimum 85%) in East York house league games. Failure to attend house league on a regular basis may lead to suspension from the Select Team. Select players are chosen based on their playing ability level, coachable attitude, and sportsmanship as well as their parent/guardians supportive attitude towards all players, coaches, parents and umpires.

Select players will typically practice once a week and play Sunday nights or in some cases late afternoon games. About half the games (5) will be at Stan Wadlow Park while the others may take place in other diamonds used by West Hill, Wexford Agincourt, East Toronto, Birchmount, Leaside, North York and North Toronto. Each team plays in a minimum of one tournament and one mid-August Playoff tournament. Winners of the Select divisons in Toronto will play on Labour Day wekend in the Provincial Championships.

The cost of the program is a base ($ TBD), and does not include uniforms & other team costs so the total cost could vary slightly from team to team. Team costs could include, tournament fees and team tournament entertainment/food, umpire costs, equipment, permit fees and insurance fees.

Regular practices may take place in January pending on coaches program. Some teams to start in May prior to the first regular season game in mid-May. Exhibition games may be played as well.

Days and times of practice are determined by the coaching staff in consultation with the VPs of Rep & Select who will schedule all EYBA teams on the available field permits for our league.
